Car crash kills 1, maims 3 in Florida

It is vital that young children always have safety seats, even if they’re being left with relatives or traveling short distances. While the person driving them might not intend any harm, the reality is that any accident can cause a death if a person isn’t properly restrained.

That’s sadly what happened in a case involving a 2-year-old and 5-year-old girls in Florida. The 2-year-old child was killed, and her sister, 5, has been left on life support.

The report about the accident states that the girls’ godmother was driving them in a vehicle without car seats and without having the girls wear safety belts. She was traveling on the highway at around 11:00 a.m. when the car crash happened. She and another driver, 34, both suffered injuries that were not life-threatening.

As of now, the Florida Highway Patrol is still looking into the cause of the accident, but the results will remain the same. Several people are hurt, and one child has lost her life.

This is an example of why it’s so important for children always to be secured in the appropriately sized safety seats, even if they’re staying with family or not traveling in their usual vehicle. Without a safety seat, younger children are at a greater risk of injuries that could maim or kill them.

If you are involved in a crash with your kids, you deserve support. Your attorney will take steps to make sure you are fairly compensated for any injuries that are caused as a result of another driver’s poor decisions and actions.
